- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips, about ½-inch wide. In a large bowl, combine the chicken with 2 tablespoons olive oil, 4 cloves of minced garlic, Italian herbs, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the marinated chicken strips in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and remaining 2 cloves of minced garlic. Microwave for 30 seconds or until the butter is fully melted.
- Lay out the flour tortillas and brush each with the garlic butter. Sprinkle ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese onto each tortilla, then add the cooked chicken strips. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll up tightly.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the chicken marinade. You can also add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor and nutrition.
