This Christmas Cinnamon Roll Wreath is a festive, golden-brown pastry filled with cinnamon sugar and pecans, drizzled with sweet icing. Perfect for holiday breakfasts or desserts!
Ingredients
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Mix in melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to form a soft dough. Knead for 5 minutes, then let it rise for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough, spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar and pecans, then roll into a log.
Cut the log lengthwise, twist the halves, and shape into a wreath. Let it rise for 30 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make icing, then drizzle over the warm wreath.
