These Easy Peanut Butter Brownies combine a rich, fudgy chocolate base with a creamy peanut butter swirl, creating a decadent treat that’s quick and simple to make.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until mostly smooth. Add milk or cream one tablespoon at a time until the mixture is smooth and dollop-able.
- Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the batter.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute plant-based butter and non-dairy milk. To make the recipe gluten-free, use a 1:1 gluten-free baking flour blend. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
