Description

These Easy Peanut Butter Brownies combine a rich, fudgy chocolate base with a creamy peanut butter swirl, creating a decadent treat that’s quick and simple to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. In a small bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until mostly smooth. Add milk or cream one tablespoon at a time until the mixture is smooth and dollop-able.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the batter.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute plant-based butter and non-dairy milk. To make the recipe gluten-free, use a 1:1 gluten-free baking flour blend. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
