Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 small onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups beef broth
1 packet onion soup mix
1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with water)
1/2 cup mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs. Optionally, brown them in a skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side for added flavor.
In a bowl, combine beef broth, onion soup mix, and cornstarch slurry. Whisk until smooth. Add optional sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
Place the meatballs in the slow cooker. Pour the gravy over the top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
