  • Total Time: 30-35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 mini puffs or 9 regular-sized puffs 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Golden, flaky puff pastry filled with a savory mixture of spinach and cheeses, these spinach puffs are perfect for any gathering or as a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 10 oz fresh or frozen spinach
  • 4 oz feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Optional: 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions.
  2. If using frozen spinach, thaw and drain excess moisture; if fresh, sauté until wilted and chop finely.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, spinach, feta, one beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and optional ingredients if desired.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  5. Cut each puff pastry sheet into 12 squares, totaling 24 pieces.
  6. Press pastry squares into muffin cups to form bases.
  7. Spoon spinach mixture into each pastry cup without overfilling.
  8. Fold pastry corners over filling to seal.
  9. Chill assembled puffs for 10-15 minutes to maintain shape.
  10. Brush tops with remaining beaten egg for a golden finish.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

Ensure puff pastry is properly thawed for easy handling. Chilling assembled puffs before baking helps maintain their shape.
