Description

A delicious and healthier take on the classic roast turkey club sandwich, featuring creamy avocado instead of bacon for a rich and nutritious twist.


Ingredients

4 slices whole wheat or sourdough bread

6 ounces roasted turkey breast, sliced

1 medium avocado, sliced or mashed

4 lettuce leaves (romaine or butter lettuce)

1 medium tomato, sliced

2 tablespoons mayonnaise or Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Apply a thin layer of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt on one side of each bread slice. If using mustard, spread a small amount for extra flavor.
  2. Place avocado slices evenly on two slices of bread. Top with sliced roasted turkey.
  3. Add fresh lettuce leaves and tomato slices on top of the turkey.
  4. Place the remaining slices of toasted bread on top and press gently. Cut the sandwich diagonally and serve immediately.
