Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced thin against the grain
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 oz penne or fettuccine
- 1 tablespoon salt for pasta water
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1–2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Slice steak thin against the grain, season with salt and pepper, and let it sit at room temperature.
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak strips for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

- Add honey, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and rice vinegar to the garlic. Whisk together and let it bubble for about 1 minute.
- Add butter and heavy cream to the sauce, whisking until smooth.
- Return the cooked steak to the pan, then add the drained pasta. Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes.
- Plate and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness with extra honey or increase the heat with more red pepper flakes to suit your taste.
